Deadline Extended…one last time!

We’ve got some leftover generous-feeling from the holidays still floating in the ether over here, so with that we’re extending Echolocation’s 2013 contest deadline until January 25, 2013!

Interpret the theme of “The Chase” in poetry (2 pages max) or prose (1500 word limit) . Top prize in each category is $100 and publication in a special edition Echolocation Chapbook. 1st and 2nd runners up will also receive publication.

Other important requirements:

  • Must be a Canadian resident/citizen
  • Submissions must be previously unpublished
  • No simultaneous submissions for our contests
  • Double-spaced for prose, single spaced for poetry.
  • Prose max 1500 words. Poetry max 2 pages.
  • Please include a third person bio in the cover letter section along with your contact info.
  • All entries should not include the name of the writer on the actual submission.

Echolocation Magazine invites entries for their contest: THE CHASE. Interpret the theme
of “The Chase” in a fresh, quirky way and submit entries of poetry (2 pages max) or prose
(1500 word limit) . Entry fee of $5 (includes a copy of the final published chapbook). Top prize in poetry is $100 and publication in a special edition Echolocation Chapbook. 1st and 2nd runners up will also receive publication. Top prize for prose is $100 and publication in Echolocation’s special edition Chapbook. 1st runner up will also receive publication. 2nd prose runner up receives bragging rights (special bragging rights certificate!). Submissions open Nov 5-Dec 5, 2012. Winners and Finalists announced in Feb. 2013. Open to Canadian citizens and residents.
